Apple Turns 30

Apple
On April 1, 2006 a little company started in Steve Jobs parents garage, by three young men celebrated its thirtieth anniversary. One of them dropped out after a week but the remaining two Steves (Jobs and Wozniak) persevered. Apple=92s 30 year journey has had many an up and down and much printers ink and video tape was spilled reflecting on it last week. To help celebrate we have gathered together a selection of interesting articles and videos for you.

Apple Boot Camp Runs Windows

Boot Camp
The tectonic plates of computerdom seemed to shift last week as Apple introduced Boot Camp. Boot Camp lets you install Windows XP on a Mac with an Intel processor --without moving your Mac data, though you will need to bring your own copy to the table, as Apple Computer does not sell or support Microsoft Windows.

This new development has raised a number of questions amongst our customers so we have created a little FAQ to help you navigate the new waters.

Mac OS X 10.4.6

iPod Hi-Fi
The latest round of Mac OS X upgrades has appeared --again with numerous bug fixes and feature improvements. Mac OS X 10.4.6 also helps enable the installation of Windows on your Intel Mac (see the article above). In this latest update, users will notice that the computer does a double restart after the update --this is normal. But do beware: Apple cautions that anyone using Sync Services should make sure all their devices are properly synchronized before applying the upgrade.

If you are uncertain about what to do, don=92t worry. This upgrade will be installed --if appropriate-- as part of your Precursor Support Contract at no charge.
