What did you do on your summer holidays? This year Apple conducted its Channel Summer Camp in Canada for the first time and Precursor=92s Alex Narvey attended. For 5 days at Sheridan College in Ontario, 145 U.S. and 4 Canadian Apple consultants and resellers received intensive training from top Apple instructors on subjects including: Security; Mac OS X Server; Xsan storage networks; Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro and other Pro Apps; and much, much more.

=93Studio 8 is a huge leap forward,=94 according to Stephen Elop, chief executive officer of Macromedia. The new suite gets comes with DreamWeaver 8, FireWorks 8 and Flash Pro 8, FlashPaper 2 and Contribute 3. FreeHand is left out.

FileMaker 8

FileMaker has revamped the whole FileMaker suite in version 8. Good old FileMaker Pro gets PDFMaker and ExcelMaker technologies. FileMaker Developer is now called FileMaker Advanced. Upgrade pricing is available to version 6 and 7 owners.
