macOS 26 Tahoe!

macOS 26 TahoeApple released macOS 26 Tahoe today. All the Apple OS variants (macOS, iOS< tvOS, etc) will now be synced to the same year number. Tahoe has a completely new look called Liquid Glass. There are improvements to Apple Intelligence and increased integration across even more apps and experiences. We will be migrating our Support Plan clients to the new OS as soon as we have compatibility statements from third party apps in use at that particular client. In the meantime, as in previous years we have created a macOS 26 Tahoe Primer for you to review the latest information about this exciting new operating system.

iPhone Air!

iPhone AirEvery Autumn the geese fly South and Apple releases new iPhones. This Fall, in addition to the new iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro there is a new body style called the iPhone Air. And guess what? Its thinner. A LOT thinner! It even has a specially designed optional thin MagSafe Battery pack. Being thin doesn't mean that Apple scrimped on the features. Its chock-a-block full of pro features. So if you have been hoping for less bulk in your pocket head on down the Apple Store and check out the new iPhone Air.

iOS 26!

iOS26iOS 26 was also released by Apple today. Like macOS 26 Tahoe, iOS 26 also sports the new Liquid Glass look. Live Translation and Live Translation with AirPods basically put a Star Trek Universal Translator right in your pocket! (But for now it doesn't translate Poilievre to Carney or Democrat into Republican). The new Call Screening feature helps you manage unwanted calls. And you can also now let the Phone app wait on hold for you! Music now has Lyrics Translation so we can finally find out what the words to Louie Louie mean!

Assistive Access!

Assistive AccessHave you ever tried to help an elderly relative with a smart phone? Turns out there is a way to make this so much easier. It's called Assistive Access. Apple's description of it is: "Assistive Access is a distinctive iOS experience, with more focused features and a simplified user interface, which allows people with cognitive disabilities to use iPhone with greater ease and independence." A trusted supporter, such as a family member or caregiver, can help set up and personalize Assistive Access so iPhone works best for the individual they support. And in addition to making buttons fewer and text bigger there are even visual alternatives to text to help people navigate. It's worth checking out!
