The Fido network is now owned by Rogers. They use the same towers although Fido users tend to pay extra to access Rogers towers that are outside major urban areas. Roughly speaking, Fido tends to emphasize value-based pricing while Rogers tends to emphasize premium and expanded services.

As far as we know, the iPhone 3G itself will cost $199 for the 8 GB version and $299 for the 16 GB version. You will also need to sign up for a combined voice and data plan as follows:
Rogers and Fido will both offer the same plans as above. However, Fido will offer per-second billing while Rogers will instead offer unlimited Wi-Fi access at all Rogers/Fido Hot Spots. Consult your Rogers and/or Fido dealer for more details.
